Jacob Kern

Children's Pastor

God was gracious to bring me and my wife Amy to Grace Place in 2013, immediately following my graduation from seminary. Prior to that, I interned and served in children's ministries for 7 years. The Lord used these experiences as well as my education at Cedarville University and Dallas Theological Seminary to grow my heart for children and their families and equip me for pastoral ministry.

It's my vision to see children enter into a personal relationship with the only Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and grow in their love and obedience to him. I also long to see parents become further equipped in their role as the primary spiritual influencers of their children.

My beautiful wife Amy and I were married in 2012. I love her steadfast commitment to the Lord Jesus; how wonderful and loving of a mom she is to our three boys; her serving alongside of me in the children's ministry that the Lord has called us to; and her heart-felt compassion for others.

Amy, the boys, and I enjoy spending time together reading, playing super heroes, building Legos, enjoying God's creation, and acting out Bible stories with lots of extra animation.
