The purpose of the Grace on Display Initiative is to put the grace of God on display by building bridges from the church to our community, allowing us to meet needs and provide an opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:4-7
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ - by grace, you have been saved - and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages He might display the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Mobilize And Empower Every Member In Ministry
For too long, in too many churches, too many Christians have caught a vision for ministry, only to think to themselves, "This will never happen... nobody listens to me... I don't even have the resources I need to see this happen." Well, it is time to put an end to this king of thinking! We have long held the belief at Grace Place Baptist Church that "Every Member is a Minister!" We want to see those visions become reality.

Encourage Out People To "Trust God" And "Dream Big"
We hope that our people will develop the habit in their lives of continually "listening to God and "seeing" the needs of others around them. We want every member to discover that we serve a BIG God and that His work will not lack His resources. We hope these initiatives will expand our beliefs about what God "can" and "will" do through us. We long to see all of our people experience the JOY of serving God and others.

Engage And Serve The People Of OKC And The Surrounding Area
We want to see our members get outside of the walls of our church's facility, and get "face-to-face" with the people in our community. The G.O.D. initiative is NOT just throwing money at a need; rather, it is allowing God to use US to meet needs. We do the work ourselves! We are the ones getting sweaty and dirty. We will love them like Jesus loves them. We are the ones who personally sacrifice to make this ministry happen. We get the privilege of becoming like Jesus and serving others

Build Evangelism Into The DNA Of Every Project
Servant ministry and personal evangelism go hand in hand. We don't have to choose between displaying grace and speaking grace. We can do both! In fact, the greatest expression of the grace of God is found in the message of the cross, where Jesus Christ died in our place to give us eternal life. We want these G.O.D. Initiatives to not only be bridge from the church to the community, but to also become a bridge from death to eternal life. We want to see people saved! For this to happen, we must be intentional about building personal evangelism into our initiatives from the very beginning.

Establish Lasting Relationships And Hopefully A Lasting Ministry
The most important thing you will do in each of these initiatives is this: Love others with the love of Jesus Christ. Each individual is important to us. God deeply loves them and so do we! It is essential to the success of each initiative to build in a "method" for collecting contact information of the people we are serving. This will help us guarantee the opportunity to establish a lasting relationship with them. While you are in the early stages of conceiving and designing your ministry, you should also plan ahead and ask, "What can we do to promote on-going, long term ministry with these people?" Who Knows? God may have something in mind that will continue for generations to come!

Realize You Are Not Alone
We expect the Grace on Display Initiatives to unite the church into "one body" sacrificially loving the lost just as Christ loves us. We hope you understand that the Grace Group that initiates a ministry does not have to do all the work themselves. Fee free to ask others to assist. You can even open it up to the entire church! We just ask that you realize that each Grace Group has an initiative of their own, and they may not be free to assist with yours. Alone we can do a little. Together we can do anything!
