Briar Eaton

Student Pastor

Briar Don Eaton serves as the Student Pastor at Grace Place Baptist Church. He was born and raised in Choctaw, Oklahoma, and has a deep love for the community that shaped him. Briar has always felt called to invest where he was raised, believing strongly in serving and strengthening the people around him.

Briar married his wife, Baylee, in 2022, and together they are raising their two sons, Banner Don (born April 2023) and Johnny Brave (born December 2024). Family is central to Briar’s life and ministry. In his free time, he enjoys cheering for the Baltimore Ravens, participating in fantasy football, and—true to Oklahoma roots—spending time hunting and fishing.

Briar attended Choctaw High School, where he wrestled and graduated in 2018. After a year of college, he stepped into part-time ministry and began coaching wrestling at Choctaw. He later earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. From 2019 to 2024, Briar continued serving in ministry while coaching, investing intentionally in students both on and off the mat.

In 2023, Briar also entered the roofing industry, viewing it as another avenue to live out his calling and share the love of Jesus with people outside the church. He believes that every profession is a God-given opportunity to reflect Christ and that wherever we work is a mission field.

Baylee, Briar’s wife, is an educator and one of the founders of 12 Academy, a Bible-based school established in the fall of 2023. The school operates with a strong Proverbs 22:6 foundation, emphasizing the importance of raising children in a Christ-centered environment. Prior to launching 12 Academy, Baylee taught in the Mid-Del elementary school system for two and a half years.

Briar’s vision for student ministry is simple: to introduce students to who Jesus is, help them grow in a personal relationship with Him, and equip them to become disciples who make disciples—all while creating a fun, welcoming, and engaging environment. He would love for your student to be part of what God is doing at Grace Place and looks forward to partnering with families in that journey.
