Boomer Butler

Student Pastor

Hey there, I'm Boomer Butler. I came into this world on a day of Bedlam, where OU triumphed, and my dad snagged the game ball (hence the name). Since 2016, I've been happily married to my incredible wife, Mackenzie, who teaches online and is the rockstar mom to our daughters, Amelia and Olivia. Our home is a lively one, with two small dogs, Bella and Cindy, making me the lone guy among these wonderful ladies. I'm proud to say I'm a dedicated girl dad!

When I'm not wrangling our pups or spending time with my girls, you can often find me buried in Ancient Greek texts, diving into philosophy books, or playing in the backyard with my daughters. Golf is also a hobby I attempt to master, though I'm convinced it's more about enjoying the game than mastering it. I hope to one day score my age in golf, although it might take until I'm over 100 to achieve this miraculous feat.

My academic journey led me to graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Letters, a unique blend of philosophy, literature, and history. I continued my studies at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health from Mid-America Christian University.

Since 2010, I've been involved in vocational ministry, including a memorable three-month stint in Spain teaching English, where God called me to ministry. My deepest desire is to see students embrace a life where they love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love their neighbors as themselves, all while fulfilling the call of Jesus in Matthew 28 to make disciples among all nations.
