I am a graduate of Southeastern State University (B.A.); The Criswell College (B.A.); and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (M.A.). I have served in ministry positions since 1977 including the pastor of Grace Place since 1992.
My wife Mellanie and I were high school sweethearts and we married in 1977. We have three children: Michael, Rachael, and Charity. Michael is married to Amy and Charity is married to Josiah. We have five grandchildren.
I love the outdoors and have a variety of interests including hunting and golf. I greatly value time with my family.
I am a pastor/teacher. I love God’s Word and have every confidence in its reliability and its ability. I am passionate about helping others enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ and I am passionate about helping them become fully yielded to the Lordship of Jesus and fully devoted to following Jesus. Nothing brings me greater joy than a transformed life!
I have led worship for the past 25 years in churches in Texas, Arkanasas, North Carolina and Oklahoma. I have a (B.A.) from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. and I attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. I have been at Grace place since June of 2011.
My wife, Gayla and I grew up in Southeastern Oklahoma and married in 1987. We have three wonderful girls; Callie Beth, Sarah and Emily. We also have 2 precious granddaughters.
I love to hunt, fish and tinker with new technology.
It’s my passion to do whatever it takes to take the Gospel to the world that so desperately needs a Savior. I love to lead people to worship the only One who’s worthy, Jesus. There is great joy in watching God at work in the lives of those He has redeeemed!
I have served in some capacity of student ministry since I was 17, first being a student intern at Grace
Place. My degree is a Humanities BA from The College at Southwestern.
One of the best things that I bring to student ministry is my wife, Leah. We dated through high school and were married at the beginning of my freshman year of college. We have three awesome kiddos: Timothy, Cadence, Bree. Christ has truly blessed me with this family to minister to and with.
My vision for student ministry is simple, I want them to be Christians; following Christ, serving the church, loving and reaching a lost and dying world. I enjoy challenging students to think deeply and exceed the expectations that culture has for them.
I love hanging out, all sorts of music, playing drums, watching football and basketball, playing anything that has a ball in it (or frisbee), shooting guns, and pretty much anything else that I can do with other people.
I have interned and served in children’s ministries for the past 7 years. The Lord used these experiences as well as my education at Cederville University where I earned a B.A. in Bible and at Dallas Theological Seminary where I earned a Master of Theology to grow my heart for children and their families and to lead me to become a Children’s Pastor.
My beautiful wife Amy and I have been married for a little over a year. I love her heart for children and the many ways she ministers to and cares for others.
We have a beautiful son named Aeden that was born in March of 2014.
Amy and I enjoy walking, hiking and biking together. We are excited for the day when we will have a jogging stroller so that we will be able to take our baby with us on our adventures.
It’s my vision to see children enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ, grow in their relationship with the Lord and others in accordance with God’s Word, and reach out to a lost and dying world with the love and unchanging truth of the Bible. I am convinced this vision is best accomplished through a partnership between the church and home where parents take the leading role of ministering to and leading their children.
