AWANA “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed”

Wednesdays during School Year/6:30-8:00 p.m.

The purpose of Awana is to reach boys and girls that come through the doors with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.

Our first goal for Awana is that children hear and understand the good news that Jesus died for their sins and rose from the dead so that we can have new life with God. Our prayer is that children receive this good news by trusting in Jesus for their personal salvation.

Our second goal is that children who already have a relationship with God through faith in Jesus grow in their understanding and application of God’s Word by memorizing Scripture and completing sections in their Awana handbook (preferably at home) AND by learning from the interacting in small groups while at church.

Our third goal is that children, having come to know and grow in the grace of God, turn around to show and go with the grace of God by sharing His love and gospel with friends, classmates, family members, and neighbors.

Our fourth goal is that the aforementioned goals take place in the context of (1) a fun but structured environment and (2) loving, caring relationships with Awana leaders and fellow clubbers.

Club meetings expose children to the gospel message, Scripture memory, Bible study, awards, team-oriented games and fun!

Cubbies-3 & 4 year olds: Cubbies Club uses the senses and a variety of activities to help our preschool children remember Bible truths and Bible verses.

Sparks-Kindergarten through 2nd grade: Sparks Club combines learning with fun so that kids have opportunity to hear, understand, and apply God’s truth in a fun, caring environment.

Truth & Training-3rd through 5th grade: The T&T Club teaches the truth of God’s Word and trains kids to follow Christ in their daily lives.

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
